Earlier this week I got a letter in the mail from Wired Magazine. It was a simple question they asked me, but one I didn’t really have an answer for. They’ll have to figure that one out on their own.
Things are finally starting to wind down here at the University of Central Florida. Tomorrow night I get to see the final, printed edition of the book that my Tech Documentation I classmates and I have been slaving over all semester. I’m hopeful that there will not be any glaring errors. I may post a PDF of the book if it looks good enough.
I’ve been done with my astronomy course since last Tuesday when pre-optional-final grades were posted. I got a 98.67% in the class. I consider that to be pretty good. This leaves me with just two classes to take to fulfill the compulsory general education program courses: two semesters of a foreign language.
In my other two courses I have actual work left to do. I have to continue to study for my Computer Organization exam. Before Thursday I need to be able to
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide binary numbers
- Determine the contents of a computer cache
- Make additions to a processor’s datapath and control
- Write, decipher, and debug MIPS assembly language code
- And create machine code from MIPS assembly language instructions (i.e. the binary code that actually controls a computer).
For my Theories of Literature course, I need to write and edit a paper for Wednesday. I know what I’ll be doing at work tomorrow morning.

Oh man, what is to be done about me? That made me laugh pretty hard for a couple minutes. It was nice talking to you the other day. We should do that thing where we are friends more often.

I’m glad you were amused by that. Speaking of Wired Magazine, you renewal has gone through. No need to worry about renewing it until this time in 2008. You might get your January issue a little late, though. But if you don’t ever get it, please call/email Wired. I’d hate for you to miss out.

I’m flying from JAX to DFW on Monday, December 18 around 10AM. I return from Dallas to Jacksonville on December 29 at approximately 10AM.
So, we should be able to hang out on the 16th and/or the 17th. The only way you get to see me on the 18th is if you’re driving me to the airport.

oh, excellent! good to know our trips are not end to end like that. perhaps the 17th, since we are getting in kinda late? i’m sure we’ll figure something out.
i’m really excited to see you!
